RES Launches Service Provider Program for Hosted Virtual Desktops
RES Software, which develops Windows Desktop management software, has launched a service provider program to assist partners with hosted virtual desktops. The RES Service Provider (RSP) program is for partners that participate in Microsoft’s SPLA (Service Provider License Agreement) program and the Citrix Service Provider (CSP) program. The addition of RES Software allows service providers to track application licenses in real-time and only pay for actual end-user usage, RES claims.
Splashtop Pro: Remote Desktop Management for SMBs?
Splashtop, which develops a remote desktop management solution, is extending beyond the consumer market into the SMB sector. The company has released Splashtop Pro specifically for SMBs, and Splashtop Chief Marketing Officer Cliff Miller says the company already has SMB customers ready to use the solution. Citrix Systems is offering a free version of its new Citrix Online GoToManage iPad application through the Apple iStore. The news surfaced this week at Citrix Summit 2011 in San Francisco, Calif.
