The fifth-annual MSPmentor 100 survey remains open until Dec. 23, 2011. So far, 83 percent of survey responses represent managed services providers from North America, 13 percent represent MSPs from EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and 4 percent are from MSPs in Asia Pacific (including Australia and New Zealand). Memo to MSPmentor’s friends in Europe, Australia and Africa: Get in on the action. When MSPmentor publishes survey results in February 2012, we’ll include global and regional lists. All Covered Acquires LAN Associates, PMV Technologies

All Covered has acquired LAN Associates and PMV Technologies, two managed services providers located in New York and Michigan, respectively Also, All Covered acquired Techcare in May 2011. The company has now made 19 acquisitions in three years.
Top IT Service Providers and MSPs Land on Inc. 5000 List

Despite some depressing economic data from small businesses, there’s good news in the IT channel. Indeed, several hundred IT service providers — including numerous MSPmentor 100 companies — have landed on this year’s Inc. 5000 list, which tracks the fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States.

We’re set to unveil the fourth-annual MSPmentor 100 list during a February 16 webcast. In the meantime, MSPmentor is checking in with companies that landed on our third-annual list. Today’s profile focuses on 7ticks, now a subsidiary of Interactive Data. 7ticks is an MSP focusing on the global electronic financial market and offering an ultra-low latency trading infrastructure because “milliseconds matter,” according to the company. Scott Caudell, 7ticks co-founder and currently vice president of IT infrastructure at Interactive Data 7ticks, walked me through the latest goings on at the MSP.
