N-able Technologies is seeking to help managed services providers (MSPs) with virtualization management. A case in point, N-abe’s N-central software is now “VMware ready,” according to Director of Product Marketing and Management Robert Grapes. The announcement surfaced at VMworld, held this week in Las Vegas. Here are the implications for MSPs.
Grapes said becoming “VMware ready” is a multi-phase effort. This is step one, which entailed VMware examining the N-central solution and making sure it could conduct monitoring services while leveraging VMware APIs. “We are the first RMM vendor that is ‘VMware ready’,” Grapes asserted.
“Vmware Ready” means that N-Able’s N-Central platform has passed “detailed evaluation and testing process managed by VMware,” according to an N-Able press release. N-able will now be listed in the VMware Partner Product Catalog — which could help N-able gain the attention of VMware VARs that are seeking remote monitoring software.
We concede: We need to check in with other remote monitoring and management software providers to see how their virtualization management efforts are shaping up.
