Logicworks, a cloud services provider, has embraced ScienceLogic‘s EM7 platform for IT monitoring and management capabilities. The Logicworks Network Response Team and Operation Center engineers will gain a 24/7 view of the company’s hosting and database infrastructure.
In some ways, ScienceLogic sounds like a remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform. Instead of focusing on MSPs in the SMB market, ScienceLogic designed EM7 for hosting providers, cloud services providers (CSPs) and corporate IT departments.
Here’s a list of out-of-the-box applications pre-integrated into ScienceLogic EM7:
- Run Book Automation Engine
- Chargeback and Cost Allocation
- Virtualization Monitoring
- Multi-Tenancy Access Control
- Public & Private Cloud Monitoring
- Dynamic Applications
- IPv6 Support
The announcement comes less than two weeks after ScienceLogic CEO Dave Link said the company was aggressively pursuing managed virtualization and cloud opportunities.
We’ll be watching to see if ScienceLogic scores with more data center providers and cloud services providers.
