Vertical Managed Services: Cabinet NG Inks Pact With Legal Partner
Cabinet NG, a software vendor pursuing document management and workflow management, is beginning to see a vertical focus among its VARs and managed services providers (MSPs). The legal market provides one example. The company recently reported a VAR agreement with Summit Global Services, which targets litigation support and e-discovery. Summit, a solution provider based in Richmond, Va., also pursues opportunities in the medical, insurance and financial sectors. Cabinet NG also partners with Maya Assurance in the insurance industry.

Now here’s the riddle for managed services providers: Are SOHO customers and home-based executives worth your time and effort to engage? Or are they high-maintenance, low-margin audiences whom you should avoid?
How to Improve MSP Efficiency and Customer Satisfaction
I’m not afraid to admit it – especially here – I love Star Trek. It goes along with loving technology, don’t you think? One of my favorite scenes happens in the 1986 movie “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home” when Scotty, the engineer, picks up a mouse and speaks into it. “Computer,” he says in his thick Scottish brogue. “Computer?”
SMBs Need Web Analytics Help
Web analytics remains big business in the US. The San Jose/Silicon Valley Business Journal recently quoted a Forrester Research analyst as saying web analytics generates $500 billion to $600 billion worth of annual revenue in the US and is growing at double-digit rates. While Forrester does not break down how much of that growth is being produced by SMB customers, the SMB market certainly has plenty of need for managed web analytics services. Here’s why.
