It’s been just over five months since eGestalt, an integrated IT security compliance management company, targeted the health care managed services sector by launching the eGestalt managed compliance partner program. So what’s new? We gathered some updates for managed services providers.
The most noteworthy member for the partner program is Untangled Solutions, which ensures that eGestalt’s small medical office and single practitioner clients don’t violate HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and HITECH (Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act).
eGestalt has been gathering feedback on its managed health care services from its clients. The findings? eGestalt’s managed health care services are helping clients save time and instantly view a network’s security state, the company claims. The network care company SOS Systems, inc., for example, uses eGestalt’s HIPAA compliance tool to generate “unexpected dividends,” according to SOS Systems Vice President of Sales and Marketing David Altizer:
“We invariably discover multiple areas that need our attention. We find our clients need password policies, they need network security, they need Active Directory, and a host of other things that opens the door for bundling additional services.”
Now eGestalt is focused on releasing version two of its cloud-based, risk assessment and auditing tool for health care providers. According to Altizer, the second edition “looks like it’s going to be a lot easier to deploy, a lot easier to manage, and will let us grow a lot faster.” We’ll detail version two of the platform when it is released.
