Imagine having a single cloud procurement system that allows MSPs to source multiple SaaS applications, set end-customer pricing, maintain brand control and integrate the billing information with PSA (professional services automation) software. Ingram Micro’s new Cloud Marketplace will eventually include that type of procurement capability for channel partners. Here’s the plan.
At Ingram Micro Cloud Summit in Phoenix, VP of Managed Services and Cloud Computing Renee Bergeron described how the Ingram Cloud Marketplace and procurement system will come together over the next few months. Some portions are currently in beta test. The single-billing capability — allowing VARs and MSPs to set pricing and maintain brand control to end-customers — is set to debut in Q4 2011. Integration with Autotask and other PSA software, will arrive sometime thereafter, Bergeron added.
To build the Cloud Marketplace, Ingram Micro has developed an API to plug dozens of SaaS applications into the marketplace and procurement system. Toward that end, Ingram announced eight new cloud and managed services software partners today.
