The rumors were true. ConnectWise Capital has invested in Quosal, the sales quoting and IT product sourcing tool for VARs and managed services providers. Quosal President and CEO Kent S. McNall discusses the ConnectWise Capital-Quosal deal in this MSPmentor FastChat Video.
Side note: The video lacks our usual flashy graphics because, um… my hard drive died. We’ll insert the bells and whistles later. In the meantime, the news can’t wait. Here’s what McNall had to say during an interview at the HTG Peer Groups conference in Dallas on May 3, 2011:
In the FastChat Video interview McNall covers:
- Quosal: Some basic background for VARs and MSPs.
- ConnectWise Capital’s investment in Quosal: What are the implications?
- On premise or Cloud: How Quosal supports both approaches.
I’ve already offered my insights on the deal, based on some rumors I had heard earlier this week.

Kent is a long-time successful entrepreneur…most people don’t know that he is a two-time winner (prior company, current gig).
More importantly – he is a fellow Alaskan! We both grew up in the Anchorage area. Treat him well!

Harry,
I look forward to SMB Nation Alaska. Just let me know when and where. The VAR Guy can take your dog for a walk while you and I catch up.

Harry, you are the best.
I do have to set the record straigt though – while I did plenty of growing up in Alaska from the ages of 16 to mid-20′s, I can’t c;laim to be from The Great Land. I’d be very proud to be, and always look forward to heading back – as I will be for some fishing with my boys this summer!
Thanks Harry!
