MokaFive, the self-described virtual desktop management company, has signed on three more MSPs as partners. Point of Care Solutions (POCS), RSPEED Inc. and Seasquall now can add managed MokaFive virtual desktops to their portfolio. Here’s the scoop:
The key virtue of the MokaFive Suite Service Provider Edition, according to the company’s press release, is the ability of the MSP to deploy standard endpoint images on demand for customized applications and data. If the user is hit with malware, the MSP can redeploy the image in a single click, restoring it to normal and cutting down on the need for help-desk assistance. And the MSP keeps tight control over the image.
The skinny on the three new service providers that signed up with the MokaFive Partner Network, as per that same press release:
- Point of Care Solutions (POCS) – A provider of agile medical platforms and core medical applications to doctors’ offices and medical practices.
- RSPEED Inc. – An IT management provider focused on business continuity, disaster recovery, application virtualization, secure remote access and management platforms.
- Seasquall – A desktop management solution provider catering to small- to medium-sized businesses.
The last time MSPmentor heard from MokaFive was way back in 2008 – and we still haven’t heard of any MSP-focused desktop-as-a-service offering quite like the company’s. But if this announcement foretells more channel moves, rest assured MokaFive will stay on MSPmentor’s radar.

A couple of key things to note– the MokaFive Suite platform has been re-architected *specifically* for MSPs. It’s now completely multi-tenant capable, so an MSP can create a new account for a customer in a few keystrokes. And, interestingly, MSPs can create a managed golden image that they can SHARE across multiple tenants — this can be a new, value-added service to offer customers.
