Verne: I would suggest speaking with MSPs who belong to key organizations. Members of HTG Peer Groups, Ingram Micro VTN, Synnex Varnex … those members share all the good/bad war stories.

We are looking at a hosted exchange with Intermedia, is the current place to find real review of Intermedia, Rackspace, or exchangemymail. Who is the best for customer service, migration, support, spam protection. I have read bad bad reviews for Intermedia and am gun shy.

Kurt: Ultimately, I don’t think MSFT pricing is the issue for VARs and MSPs. I think the real issues involve SaaS margins, customer ownership, billing control, etc.

I’m sure Microsoft will end up with something similar in features and price to Google Apps. Google right now has a great cloud communication bundle that has many advantages over Exchange but these things take time…
