During recent managed services conferences, James Foxall (pictured) has been the public face and voice of Tigerpaw Software Inc. — the PSA (professional services automation) software provider. Now, Foxall has been promoted from VP into Tigerpaw’s president slot. Here are some details.
According to a press release from Tigerpaw:
“As President, James is focused on building up Tigerpaw’s communities, establishing a stronger brand, and continuing to work with its Client Advisory Group to design and architect software that meets the ever-changing needs of Tigerpaw’s clientele…
…As founder and CEO of Tigerpaw, Dave Foxall plans to remain in an advisory role to help steer executive level decisions.”
Competitive Moves
James Foxall’s move into the president slot comes at an intriguing time. The PSA market is evolving rapidly. Recent industry moves include a range of acquisitions, investments and upstart competitor strategies. Examples include:
- Autotask acquiring VARStreet.
- ConnectWise launching ConnectWise Capital, which has invested in LabTech (a remote monitoring and management software provider) and CharTec (a hardware as a service specialist).
- NetSuite promoting OpenAir, a SaaS PSA platform, to technology and business consultants.
- European PSA upstarts like Severa targeting the North American market.
In order to raise its visibility, Tigerpaw is planning to host its first partner and customer conference in October 2010.
