I saw a tshirt at Walmart (hey, when you need a USB cable at 3 AM you don't have many options) that had a picture of a tweety bird and it was saying "nobody cares" :) There is also a great demotivator about blogging "Never have so many said so much to so few"

There is a lot of truth there. Facebook, Twitter, etc are great ways for people to launch conversations with equally uninterested (passive) audience - but when the topics of interest change (ie, you post every single ride you're about to get on at Disneyland) you're almost immediately ignored even though it seems you've got a large audience.

On Twitter and Facebook, user counts mean less and less and losing an audience is far easier than building one.

John: A year or two from now, perhaps we'll both spend plenty of time talking to each other in the otherwise empty Twitter system ;-)

Kidding aside, your ability to connect the potential dots between Twitter and the rise/fall of CB radios certainly caught my attention.

Looking forward to BrainShare.
