		<description>Anthony, I agree.

In a another life I ran an IT service provider business with a strong managed services practice with Connectwise at the heart of this, we invested a lot into the configuration and integration of this platform into our business.

To change PSA platforms mid flight is not a light undertaking!

With the reported low market penetration of managed services across both service providers and their clients there is still a v.large market opportunity out there..

Any IT Services &quot;ERP&quot; play would have to have a strong PSA offering at the heart I would suspect...

Cheers

<description>Personally I think that the PSA offering will only be picked up by companies that don&#039;t already have one. Who would want to migrate 10 years of customers over to the new platform by hand.</description>

<description>Jon: Thanks for the note and for reading MSPmentor.

I don&#039;t want to make too many predictions about how this may all sort out because (A) I&#039;m not running the software and (B) remember, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, SAP, Salesforce, etc., all enjoyed strong software growth throughout much of the 2000-2009 period even as they competed on some fronts.

With those facts in mind, I want to be careful not to hype a software war or showdown of some sort. But some potential competitive moves are finally emerging... so yes, this is is going to be an interesting year.

		<description>Joe,

Thanks for the updates on the market – awesome work!

Here are our initial thoughts at Naverisk on Kaseya&#039;s plans.

Kaseya&#039;s PSA offering will inevitably be strong competition to the current PSA providers.

As you state, we also believe this will move the PSA vendors to look closely at the broader partnership opportunities with other RMM vendors in response.

Should be a very interesting 2010!

Cheers
