Level Platforms is expanding its managed services efforts in India. The software company isn’t alone. I continue to hear anecdotal progress about India’s managed services market. But just how large an opportunity awaits resellers and MSPs in India? It depends upon whom you ask.
First, the latest news: According to CEO Peter Sandiford, Level Platforms has been working with partners in India for several years but really started targeting the market in the past 6 months. Greg Henderson, director international operations with Level Platforms, is leading the India effort. “We have now signed
up several larger players and have a full pipeline of opportunities,” says Sandiford.
Level Platforms’ international expansion strategy is based two key items, Sandiford adds:
- The first is that Level Platforms provides a platform from which partners can build highly customized offerings for target geographic and vertical markets.
- The second is that we operate entirely based on a partnership model, allowing Level Platforms to remain very nimble, Sandiford asserts. “So yes, you can definitely expect to see additional announcements throughout 2010,” he notes.
Competition Looms
Still, Level Platforms isn’t alone in India. Kaseya launched India operations in May 2008. And a relationship with Tata Consultancy Services could propel Kaseya into thousands of small businesses across India, CEO Gerald Blackie told MSPmentor in August 2009. And in October 2009, Kaseya named a VP of sales for its India operations.
Meanwhile, most of North America’s major RMM (remote monitoring and management) and PSA (professional services automation) software companies have been expanding across Europe, the Middle East and Australia. Some are promoting a SaaS (software as a service) approach, some are evangelizing on-premise options, and a handful are offering up both options to their customers.
Most of the recent action has been in Australia. But I wonder if India will become the hotbed for managed services activity in 2010.

This should be the right company where as it has best growth & right path for complete ‘SaaS’ & Cloud Computing.
