An IT services "bubble?" Perhaps, or maybe even probable. But I think the key is to focus as keenly as you can on the real, everyday needs of your customers first, and the technology second; therein lies the real opportunity.
Matt: Actually, I think the future is bright for only about 20 percent of solutions providers or so. Multiple inflection points are occurring at once. Managed services. Cloud. SaaS. Virtualization. Open source in some areas. Even some of the best MSPs I know are scratching their heads right now trying to sort through real opportunities vs. fatal distractions.

Thanks Vicki. Isn't that something? Future looks very bright for providers and end-users alike.

Matt, congratulations to Appia. As you said, there are more IT services companies -- 658 to be exact -- on the Inc. 5000 list than any other industry. The next largest industry category in terms of members is Business Products and Services, with 500 companies.

Matt: Congrats to your company. There is some overlap between in the Inc. 5000 and MSPmentor 100. Naturally, Inc. 5000 IT service providers are welcome to participate in the annual MSPmentor 100 survey, which typically launches each October.

Joe, I bet there's a lot of overlap between the Inc. 5000 and the MSPmentor 100. Appia is a proud member of both (and that makes three straight years on the Inc. 5000 for us). As a category, IT Services placed the most companies on this year's list, so the MSP community represented itself well. Great to see the growth. Congrats to Five Nines, Mindshift and all the others. Let's keep it up!
