Good thoughts — I also like the mechanic analogy. A variety of marketing approaches needs to be tried, and it can only help when there are so many resources online for this that are free or fairly cheap. I personally recommend AdWido in addition to using Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, at least.

Paul, very good analogy regarding the mechanic.
By attending the Seismic Partner Conference this past May in Dallas, I have come to realize that Marketing is the single most important aspect to growing a business. No doubt you have to have follow through when the customer takes you up on your offer, but you can have the best staff and processes in place and it may not matter. If you have no marketing, you have no customers and your top notch staff is not going to be utilized. I think many business owners and decision makers are scared to invest heavily in Marketing because it cannot be finitely measured in terms of success.

What do you think?
