Safecopy backup is better for me because they offer a free unlimited 3GB trial version.This is great because it will never expires and they are reliable and cost effective.

To be honest, loads of companies are offering this right now. They can’t all be running their own infrastructure. I suppose you could run your own on cloud based storage, and very quickly turn a profit.

I’m curious to hear what the MSP community is looking for in an online backup, storage, and access service. Some of the question I’m interest in are below, but this is really an open-ended inquiry.

- would you prefer fixed pricing ($XX/month gets you Y GB) or variable pricing($ per GB-month, no limits)?

- can you sell “quality of service” (i.e. does it matter to you whether the offering is geogrpahically redundant, does speed testing matter – it all matters, but is it a compelling sales diffrentiator)

- would you prefer that this service be bundled with hardware or software?

Really? I tried Storage Guardian a few years back and it seemed like a really lame one-man show. I cancelled after about 6 months.

Storage Guardian is owned and operated by the same people that own and operate Asigra Inc who sells the software to the MSP channel. Not a very channel friendly thing to do.
