Who hosts the world’s largest face-to-face managed services conference? I think I just found the answer — and it truly surprised me.
With all due respect to CompTIA Breakaway, various EverythingChannel events and the MSPAlliance’s Managed Services Summits, I think ConnectWise could wind up running the largest MSP-centric, face-to-face conference of the year.
The ConnectWise Partner Summit (Sept. 17-19, Orlando, Fla.) is expected to attract somewhere between 500 to 700 (or more) established ConnectWise customers — the vast majority of whom are managed service providers.
Of course, bigger isn’t always better. Many conferences are purposely designed to attract smaller, more regional attendance. And most channel-oriented events have content that go far beyond the topic of managed services.
Still, ConnectWise’s ability to attract so many customers to its event suggests that the MSP industry as a whole wants to hear from vendors within the market.

ConnectWise Partner Summit had set the standard of all MSP conferences since 2005. ConnectWise has created a community for MSP owners to share their best practices. I personally had made a few very good friends who I met at past ConnectWise Partner Summits.

I attend a lot of industry conferences and have for many years. The Connectwise Partner Summit has been one of the best for the last few years but this year it appears they move to the top of the hill. They have continued to grow and mature their event and find more ways to bring value to attendees. The focus has moved way past just making Connectwise fine tuning, although there is plenty of that which is sorely needed by a lot of us using the product. But the variety of keynotes, vision, and just best practice breakouts makes this an event that even non Connectwise users would benefit from. But wait - they can’t come…..which means that every interaction with other partners will be relevant to the way we run our business and can help by providing us targeted value in gaining that little insight or trick that will drive bottom line revenue. My bet is on the Connectwise Summit to be THE conference that VAR’s have to attend in 2008. Not only will HTS and HTG be there, but we believe it is so big we are putting a bet on that with our own investment of time and resources. I hope we see all of you there too.
Over the years I have had the opportunity to attend 100’s of reseller events. ConnectWise sets themselves apart by focusing on helping the “family” of resellers who use ConnectWise PSA as a management and profit tool. The vendor neutral tone of the Partner Conference puts attendees in a unique sharing and learning frame of mind. It is too bad every reseller cannot attend, a it is clear to me the ConnectWise way is simply the best way! I look forward to learning and growing at this years Partner Summit.

This conference will be our third trip and is the only event I look forward to each year. Arnie does an excellent job of putting together a fantastic conference providing relevant business material for education as well as providing excellent networking activities. From our company’s prospective the Connectwise Partner Conference provides us a forum to meet and network with current partners as well as meet new prospective companies. In the end, the Connectwise Partner Conference is one of the few I don’t mind spending money on. It is a must attend event.
Agreed. This is definitely the one must-attend event of the year in my mind. I had to miss last year due to some personal commitments, but I’m fired up to attend this year! I look forward to seeing all of you there.

I have to agree with Arlin, Clint and the others who commented. Arnie is certainly moving the bar higher each year with this conference. The quality of the breakouts and business, professional and technical acumen of the attendees and presenters is second to none. I’m looking forward to this year’s event.
