Even Software Companies Need MSPs

Here’s an interesting twist on the managed services market: It seems as if even software companies are ready to outsource their systems to managed service providers (MSPs).

A case in point: PeopleClick Inc., which develops staffing recruitment software, has outsourced its pre-production servers and disaster recovery environment to Hosted Solutions, which operates SAS 70 certified facilities in Boston and several cities in North Carolina. Hosted Solutions was acquired by ABRY Partners for $140 million in April 2008. (Oops, we’ll need to add that deal to our MSPmentor M&A Tracker.)
